Chablis

Chablis is always good, but at this time of year it tastes like spring. It's fresh, green, tart, and inviting. In this case it was a 2010 La Chablisienne Montmains Premier Cru.  There was a trout filet broiled in an herb butter, some rice and the very first of the spring peas served with the same herb butter.  That butter contained freshly picked dill, parsley, chervil and tarragon.  A satisfying meal and a great combination.

The photo is a yellow magnolia blossom.

2010 La Chablisienne Montmains Premier Cru.  13% alcohol and $25. A bargain.
